One of the most remarkable sights are the "dancing dolphins." These gentle creatures mesmerize visitors as they twist and turn in the shallows along the Santa Rosa Sound or you can watch them play in the Gulf of Mexico from the comfort of your balcony while your enjoying breakfast.  

Nearby Destin Fl is known as "the luckiest fishing village in the world." Destin has one of the largest charter fishing fleets in the United States.  It’s really fun to go fishing in the morning and then have a family barbeque back at the resort in the late afternoon.

Other recreational activities include pontoon and wave runner rentals, parasailing, snorkeling, sunset cruises and sightseeing cruises.

 A special place of interest on Okaloosa Island is the Gulfarium, this is one of the oldest aquariums in the country and fun for the entire family.

Okaloosa Island is only 35 miles to Pensacola Florida and 60 miles to Panama City Beach, yet it seems thousands of miles away because there are no high rises, no crowds, and no traffic! Okaloosa Island just has miles and miles of sand, Gulf, incredible fun and natural beauty.
